The Gaffney Group is a South African publisher of business and government publications established in 1986. Kelly Ann Pita worked for the Gaffney Group from 2011 to 2014 as a designer and layout artist. she

artistically
talented,
but

literate
and
numerate
also.
She
was
easily
the
most
competent
person
I
have
ever
had
the
privilege
of
working
with.
As
she
worked
through
our
publications
she
redesigned
and
revamped
them
all
to
their
best
ever.
And
she
produced
the
best
advertisements
for
our
clients
they
had
ever
had.
Plus
she
put
the
all
the
books
on
cd
rom
and
revamped
our
website,
and
did
surveys
electronically
and
telephonically
to
hone
the
content
of
the
publications.
Kelly
had
real
initiative
and
was
always
full
of
ideas
to
improve
the
company
e.g.
in
the
field
of
social
media,
and
she
got
Gaffney
to
the
top
of
Google
search
at
one
stage
and
in
2013
she
organised
a
book
launch
event
for
our
local
government
book
and
was
mc
at
the
event.
And
what
a
fantastic
mc
she
was.
Also
Kelly
organised
weekly
company
teambuilding
afternoons.
Kelly
was
popular
with
management
and
her
peers
and
had
a
high
work
ethic.
Her
timekeeping
and
attendance
were
excellent.
Unfortunately
because
of
the
economic
situation
in
the
country,
and
Pat
Gaffney,
the
company
owner,
wanting
to
retire
and
sell
the
company,
we
could
not
keep
her
or
pay
her
what
she
deserved
and
ultimately
she
left
for
a
better
work
opportunity.
There
are
so
many
things
I
liked
about
Kelly:
mainly,
her
willingness
to
help
in
absolutely
ANY
way
required.
It
was
such
a
helpful
attitude.
She
was
unfailingly
cheerful
and
took
a
leadership
role
in
the
office
and
daily
helped
management
and
staff
to
fix
their
hardware
and
software
computer
problems.
I
will
always
be
grateful
to
her
for
teaching
me
so
much
and
for
the
fun
times
we
had
and
I
can
unreservedly
recommend
her
