9. ASHA = American Schools and Hospitals Abroad In the US, 2 cents of every tax dollar goes to foreign aid. A small portion of that 2 cents is for ASHA projects in developing countries. In the past 12 years, FUM has received millions of grant $$ to improve Ramallah Friends School. This photo depicts the opening of a new classroom building in the fall of 2009.

12. With the goal of gaining revenue to support RFS, FUM is considering the development of land for commercial use. It would be along two sides of the sports field.

16. With much success, Joyce Ajlouny has invited the alumni to help fund a kindergarten center and new auditorium for the Girls’ School. It will fit in this space.
17. F.U.M. also helps support the Amari Play Center, a pre-school in the Refuge Camp.
19. Hidden in the center of the city, it provides a quiet and welcoming place for worship.
