This document provides a list of art and education apps that are useful for teachers and students. It begins by explaining that when the author first got an iPad, they downloaded many apps but did not learn to use them effectively. The document then lists over 30 art, drawing, animation and education apps. For each app, it provides the app name, price, age range, and brief description. The goal is to help teachers and students find apps to incorporate 21st century technology into lessons and increase student engagement with the arts.

2. The iPad is quickly becoming the most
innovative & exciting technology based teaching
tool to come along in years.
You’re a teacher and your school has handed
you an iPad. You’re expected to do something
with it and you’re freaking out. Where to start?
What to do? What apps should I start with?
When I first started on the iPad journey, I
downloaded so many apps, it was impossible to
learn how to use them all effectively. Further
along my journey, I realized there were many
apps I hadn’t even opened yet and were going
to waste on my iPad desktop.
3. This device and specific apps can transform YOUR
classroom like never before: the technology brings
your classroom into the 21st Century; increases
student engagement and motivation; students
become collaborative partners in the learning
process; your lessons can easily be matched to the
Common Core Standards; and individualized
learning has never been easier to achieve.
I now advise teachers to only download a few apps at
a time; learn them; use them in lessons; work out
how you can incorporate them so that they align with
the CCS; and finally learn how to engage and
motivate your students to ‘learn’ using 21st Century
technology.
This is the first list I have created, with my
favorite iPad apps for Art and Education.
Enjoy!
