This document discusses libraries providing downloadable and streaming media to patrons. It covers various purchasing models, available content from publishers/producers/distributors, compatible device formats, authentication and integration with library systems. The author believes more content will become available from more sources over time, circulation of digital materials will increase steadily, and compatibility with devices like Roku and Chromecast will improve.
