"leadership competency" of the future. Sadly, as a country, we're not doing
a very good job at preparing our young people with the creative thinking

River Gallery seeks work for U of M's Rackham
Deadline: digital images, September 3rd; selected works, September 17th
River Gallery will be curating, installing and marketing an all textile art
exhibit at the Rackham building on the central campus of the University of
Michigan. This exhibit titled From Tradition to Innovation is the 4th in a
series of exhibits we have created for Rackham. The building is a fully
restored architectural gem and is the site of many conferences,

Americans for the Arts Action Fund will coordinate a "50 States 50 Days"
initiative that supports local advocacy activities in all 50 states and in as

Grammy Foundation Accepting Applications for Music Preservation
and Research Grants

The foundation will award archiving and preservation project grants to

Jointly administered by Chamber Music America, the cultural services
department of the French Embassy, and the French American Cultural
Exchange, the CMA/FACE French American Jazz Exchange supports small

The University of Oklahoma's College of Arts and Sciences invites
applications for the fifth biennial Thatcher Hoffman Smith Creativity in
Motion Prize. The $40,000 prize is open to all fields of creativity including,
but not limited to, the arts, cultural affairs, education, and science and will
be given to an individual whose creative project is currently underway.
