o Installation, commissioning and support of analog
modem networks for different customers
o Commissioning and support of the Mobistar optical
SDH Network.

2. 2000 – 2011 : Nokia Siemens Networks (Former Siemens Atea Networks),
Herentals.
- Customer Support Engineer Transmission Networks
o Commissioning and delivering technical customer
support for local and pan European, optical DWDM
networks. Including on call and onsite support.
o Designing, Commissioning, Testing and Integration
of microwave networks for different customers.
o Supporting different customers to keep their optical
and microwave networks running error free.
o Performing Factory Acceptance Testing, in co-
operation with the customer to deliver fault free and

backbone in Belgium.
 RTBF, VRT : Assisting in the design of the
network. Factory- and on site acceptance
testing of the optical and microwave
networks. On site integration.
 Sonatrach Algeria: Assisting in the design,
testing, onsite installation and integration of
two large optical networks. One network built
in Algiers, Another network built alongside a
gas pipeline in the Sahara of about 1000km.
 OPT Benin, Telecom Malawi : Design of two
microwave networks going from one side of
the country to the other side. Setting up the
network for testing in the lab at the Siemens
Offices, Performing factory acceptance
testing with the customer. On site activation
of the network ensuring a fault free operation.

- Supporting on the installation and activation of the
Telenet Sattelite parks in Mechelenand Hoboken.
o Installation of about 20 dishes of 4m diameter.
o Alignment of these dishes with satellite receiver and
spectrum analyzer.
- Problem Coordinator / Field engineer for the GSM-rail
microwave backbone in Holland
o Coordination between Siemens Holland and Siemens
Belgium for the roll out of the GSM-rail microwave
backbone.
o Building and roll-out of the network.
o On site support during network troubles.
- Site Engineer GSM-Rail Belgium
o Working together with all involved parties (Siemens;
TUC rail, NMBS…) to come to a complete roll-out
of the transmission sites used for the GSM network
of the Belgian Railroads.
o Plan and execute site surveys.
o Prepare all documentation needed to complete the
site data.
2011 – 2011: NORKRING Belgium (September 2001 – October 2001)
- Application Engineer Broadcasting
o Ensuring the correct functionalities of the VRT Radio
and Television network.
o Ensuring the correct operation of the Telenet Digital
Wireless TV Network.
o Coordinating the necessary actions to keep the
Norkring Network up and running.

4. 2011 – 20014: Volker Wessels Telecom
- Project Manger Telecom Site Build
o Responsible for the build of all kinds of Telecom
installations, especially for mobile operators (Base,
Mobistar, Proximus, Astrid)
o Coordination of deliveries.
o Planning of technical teams and subco’s.
o In charge of planning all the required actions.
o Composing of all the required offers, billing, follow
up, invoicing, …
o Attend to customer meetings, on site or at the office.
o Continuous follow up of all actions.
- Project Manager / Technical Expert for Low Latency
Point to Point Microwave site builds.
o Supporting of the site acquisition team in order to
find well suitable sites.
o Coordination between VWT, Architects, Owners,
Safety, and other involved parties regarding to the
new site builds.
o Composing of BOQ’s for each installation.
o Ordering of all required parts, within own warehouse
or with external suppliers.
o Complete planning and follow up of site build from 0
to complete delivery of the installation. From 1
antenna integration up to a complete new site / tower
build with all equipment up and running.
o Coordination between Government (Building
permits, BIPT), Architects, Suppliers, Site Owners,
Installation teams and Customer.
o Technical assistance of teams during installation and
alignment of links.
o One realized project consisting of 6 hops between
Calais and Germany. Biggest dish in this installation
was 3.8m diameter. Highest installation was at 220m.
o Ongoing project with about 26 Sites, using a North
and South route trough France and Belgium.

5. 2014- 2014 (December): APK – Guana ICT
- Calculator data & cabling systems
o Responsible for checking the customers’ needs for
their new data cabling systems, by use of the
specification sheets, on site surveys, client meetings,
site checks,…
o Requesting quotes with suppliers, comparing of
received data, composing the best offer for both
customer and Guana.
o Discuss delivered quotations with the customer.
o Planning of technical teams and subco’s in co-
operation with project leaders.
o Continuous follow up of all actions.
o Implementation of adaptations where needed.
2015 (Jan.) – 2015 (Nov.) : Domotion
- Technical Coordinator
o In charge of the weekly planning of about 10
Service- and Field engineers for different customers
(Ericsson, Telenet, Eurostar, …) by checking the
customers’ needs and requirements. Delivering a
smooth planning for both customer as for Domotion.
o In charge of long term planning of the teams for
internal- as external projects, in corporation with
sales and customers. Fulfilling al the requested needs.
o On site assistance of installation teams during
planned works and new projects (Kick offs, Field
trainings)
o Managing stock and warehouse in order to keep a
sufficient supply of installation materials and
