Yangshan is an archipelago of 16 islands located in Hangzhou Bay, China, about 30 kilometers south of Shanghai. It is administered as part of Shanghai's jurisdiction and is connected to the city by the 32.5-kilometer Yangshan Deep-Water Port, which allows large container ships to dock. The port is one of the busiest in the world and has helped Shanghai become one of China's leading industrial and commercial centers.
