Why do we reference?
• To show where we got your information and
acknowledge the author.
• To prove we didn’t plagiarize.
• To assist the reader to research further based on your
project.
• To demonstrate you have conducted research for your
project and consequently add credibility to it.

Each time you find a source of information:
 Write it down in your reference log.
Tasks:
Download a reference log from the student KLA in the 1
PL folder and save it in your P/L folder in your home drive.
Download the document “How to do a Bibliography” from
there too and save it to your home drive.
