SSN REMOVED FROM ID
Did you know that DoD is removing Social Security Numbers from ID cards to protect your privacy and personal identity
information, your Social Security Number (SSN) is being replaced with a DoD ID Number on all ID cards. SSN Removal ID Card
Changes:
• As of June 2011, SSNs will no longer be printed on any new ID card.
• SSN removal will occur in three phases.
• Your new ID card will have a DoD ID Number in place of your SSN.
• Your DoD ID Number will be used as the Geneva Conventions serial number.
• If you are eligible for DoD benefits, there will also be a DoD Benefits Number printed on your new ID card.

BASIC FRG TREASURER TRAINING
June 7: This training for FRG Funds Custodians will cover the rules and regulations, commanders’ responsibilities, available financial

CAR BUYING CLASS
June 8: The Hunter ACS (building 1286) will conduct a car buying workshop from 1:30-3:30 p.m., June 8. This class will discuss

STRESS WORKSHOP OFFERED
June 9: The Check Yourself Before You Wreck Yourself/Key to Managing Stress workshop will be held June 9. Fort Stewart Family
Advocacy Program conducts this workshop at building 82 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. The workshop teaches skills to identify your stress
triggers, methods to manage your emotions, and positive communication techniques for dealing with anger and stress. Call 767-5058

RECREATION AREAS CLOSED:
Fort Stewart recreation areas flanking the Ogeechee River are closed until further notice due to the Georgia Environmental Protection
Division (EPD), DNR Wildlife Division and U.S. EPA responding to a fish kill occurring on an approximate 35-40 mile segment of
the Ogeechee River in the Counties of Screven and Bulloch with possible effects in Bryan, Chatham, and Effingham Counties. Fort
Stewart recreation areas B-23, B-24, C-16, C-17, and C-18 are closed until the cause of the fish kill is determined. Citizens are
advised to avoid swimming or consuming fish taken from the Ogeechee River in Bryan, Chatham, Effingham and Screven Counties.

2. ACS OPEN HOUSE
June 14: The Hunter Army Community Service (ACS) celebrates the Army birthday with an open house, 1-3 p.m. The community is
invited to tour the facilities at Stewart (buildings 86, 87 & 82) and Hunter (building 1286). All who enter ACS during this time will be

Winn Army Community Hospital
We are proud to announce that we will open our new OB/GYN Clinic on the 4th Floor of Winn. We are moving our Mammogram
Services to 4th Floor in their new designed area. Please come out and help us cut the ribbon and get a tour on June 20, 2011 at 1130.
Healthcare Services: To help prevent our patient/beneficiaries from getting medical bills, please remind them to utilize the
Military Treatment Facilities for services first. If we cannot provide the services in a timely manner, we will put in a referral
authorizing the patients to seek care in the network. If they do this on their own, they will receive a bill.

Service at Hawk Troop Clinic to get them filled. Refills service is still at the Post Exchange (PX).
Enrollment: Richmond Hill Medical Home Clinic is accepting Active Duty Family Member enrollment. To change your
enrollment, you may choose from one of three options: Via website @ www.humana-military.com; by calling 1-800-444-5445; or
you may visit our Tricare Service Center (TSC) located within the MTF. It’ that simple!

UPDATE EFMP RECORDS:
If you are a Soldier who has a Family member enrolled in the Army's Exceptional Family Member Program be sure to remain current
by updating their records at least every three years or when health conditions change. When soldiers who have Family Members
enrolled in EFMP and are nominated for assignments, HRC career managers coordinate with gaining commands and use the

FORT STEWART/HUNTER AAF OUTDOOR POOLS OPEN
Hunter Outdoor Pool (behind Hunter Club, Bldg. 6015) is opening May 27 thru Sep. 5 for the 2011
Summer Season. The pools will be open from 11:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday thru Sunday. The
pool passes are $3 daily, $34 individual, and $60 for Family season passes. Remember, if you
purchase your season pass on opening day, you will receive half off the price. For more information

Hunter AAF Traffic Warning!
Beginning Monday, 2 May, eight road intersections will be closed to traffic on Hunter Army Airfield, Monday through Friday, 6:30 –
7:30 a.m. during physical training. The locations are Horace Emmett Wilson Blvd. and Lightning Road; Leonard Neal St. and
Lighting Road; William Barksdale Circle and Lighting Road; Billy Mitchell Blvd. and Lighting Road; Hickam Blvd. and Billy

REGISTER FOR HUNTER VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL,
Hunter Religious Support Office conducts their 2011 Vacation Bible School, 9 a.m. to Noon, June 20-24. Registration is open to
Chapel/DOD/Military Children from Kindergarten/4 Years old to 6th graders. The theme is "Big Apple Adventure - Where Faith and
Life Connect." Space is limited. Registration started May 1 and continues until May 30 or until all slots are full. Volunteers are also
needed to teach classes and assist with the setup/cleanup; a background check must be made before anyone can assist. Teenagers can

CDC Grand Opening on HAAF!
A ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the grand opening of the Child Development Center, building 148 at 131 Leonard Neal Street on
Hunter Army Airfield, will be held beginning at 0930 on14 June.
The full-service facility will provide 144 additional child care spaces for Family Members ages 0-5 years of the Hunter Community.
It contains 13,153 square feet of space and was built at a cost of $4.3 million.
Soldiers, Family Members and members of the local community are invited.
Hours of Operation will be 0530-1800 Monday through Friday, closed weekends.

Following her triumph in the 2004 edition of American Idol, the song ―I Believe‖ made Fantasia Monique Barrino the first recording
