1. The bottle smashing on the ground brought him to his
senses. Silence filled the air. He turned round. No- one.
He knew that it wasn’t safe to stay where he was. It
was time to move on. He checked his phone for
messages and seeing that the screen was still blank
made the decision to get the next taxi.
It had all started the day before when he had taken
delivery of the box from the courier. It simply stated
on the bottom of the box that it had been sent by his
uncle, a long lost uncle. Wanting to discover what he
had been sent and why it had been done under such
secrecy, he curiously opened the box.
