Summary: I am a high performing self-starter with several years of engineering experience in multiple manufacturing
environments. My background includes project management, product and cost improvement, new product design and
introduction, process improvement, Lean Manufacturing, and quality improvement. I have successfully led and
implemented several major projects resulting in significantly reduced operating and product costs by improving design and
manufacturing methods (DFM).
2014-Present Caterpillar, Forest Products, Manufacturing Engineer:
• Implement high level ME projects for Forest Products Division resulting in significant cost savings
and quality improvements on all Caterpillar Work Tools.
• As the exclusive Work Tools ME, omplied with Caterpillar Lean Manufacturing Systems
2010-2014: Alamo Group, Ag Division, Gibson City, IL, Manufacturing Engineer:
• Designed/implement high level tooling projects for Ag Division resulting in significant cost savings
and quality improvements, with an emphasis on, but not limited to robotic welding..
• Acted as sole manufacturing/design engineering liaison to concurrently develop tooling/process
concepts for Ag Division NPI’s resulting in record corporate achievements.
• Led Ag Div. Continuous Improvement initiatives, resulting in major QA, & EBIT improvements.
• Developed product cells/shop flow to significantly improve plant efficiency and safety.
• Coordinated new process start-up and re-tooling for plant consolidations resulting in smooth and
timely transitions for OEM products.
• Led outside sources in assisting with tooling projects, resulting in reduced project implementation
cost and improved schedule attainment.
2009 Present: J4 Services, Weston, WI, Principal – Owner Consultant:
• Consulted with numerous Ag Manufacturers to improve engineering/manufacturing processes.
• Acted as a liaison to influence engineering and manufacturing groups in new product development
(NPI), existing product design maintenance, DFM improvements, and process improvements.
• Utilizing extensive “Big Picture” experiences provided significant operational cost improvements.
2007-2008: Utility Tool and Trailer, Clintonville, WI, Director of Engineering:
• Managed engineering staff in fast pace multi-task environment.
• Led engineering group in new product development (NPI), and existing product design maintenance.
• Developed process flow and implemented ISO certification into the engineering department.

• Developed, designed, and implemented new products by actively leading NPI Teams.

1997 -2002: Greenheck Fan Corporation, Schofield, WI, Manufacturing Engineer:
• Facilitated cross functional quality team resulting in the closure of over 500 complex manufacturing,
design, and quality shop floor problems, within a twelve month period.
• As project manager, provided development recommendations and conceptual guidance for the
design, fabrication, and implementation of production machinery and fixtures.

1994 -1996: ELKHART PRODUCTS CORPORATION, Elkhart, IN, Manufacturing Engineer:
Manufacturing Engineer, Product Line and Machine Development:
• Implemented corrective actions to production problems, resulting in increased efficiency and
consistent achievement of SPC criteria, design specification, and industry standards.
• Streamlined production by authorizing and implementing ECN’s to tooling design, tooling material
selection, process, and plant machinery design, resulting in improved manufacturing.
• As a product line manager, teamed with QC, R&D, Production, and Design Departments,
implemented “releases to production” of new products from development stages, resulting in smooth
and timely transitions to full production runs.
• Justified and purchased $ 500,000 of new plant CNC machining centers for machining department
reorganization by authorizing funding request analysis (AR’s) and demonstrating 2 year return on
investments, resulting in increased plant CNC capacity and decreased CNC work backlog.

Service Engineer, Program Manager, Fleet Leader Program:
• Without impacting customer, developed and implemented program to identify turbo machinery
problems, monitor quality, prevent product failures, resulting in increased product reliability.
• Coordinated and facilitated engineering analytical inspection teams resulting in identification of
turbo machinery problems, and implementation of corrective actions prior to average age impact.
• Initiated proactive turbo machinery service evaluations which provided critical information to
customers of hardware and material characteristics, enabling timely fix implementation and
increased spare parts sales.
Product Support Program Manager, Turbo Machinery:
• Reported significant field events to customer support, quality, and engineering management,
resulting in improved cross-functional organization communication.
• Successfully developed customer event data base, providing ability to statistically plot product quality
and failure trends and initiate engineering improvements.
Evaluation Engineer, Turbo Machinery:
• Facilitated engine test, calibration, and analytical tear down, providing engineering with critical
information on development hardware durability, reliability, safety, and material compatibility.
