Joe DiBona worked as a systems administrator at Schramm, Inc. from 2013 until recently. As the company grew substantially, Joe helped maintain their integrated Oracle ERP system and was responsible for IT hardware, operating systems, and applications. He demonstrated an ability to understand requirements from different departments and implement successful solutions. Joe is dependable, willing to work extra hours, and able to assist users with hardware and software issues in a friendly manner. He recently left Schramm due to depressed energy markets but is recommended as a great addition to any IT department.

Re: Letter of Recommendation—Joe DiBona
To Whom It May Concern:
Joe DiBona joined Schramm, Inc. in 2013 as one of two systems administrators reporting to directly me. In
that role, Joe contributed his knowledge of IT hardware, operating systems, and complex ERP application
software. In the immediate years after his arrival, Schramm’s footprint and revenue grew substantially, and
Joe was a key player in maintaining the well-known Oracle ERP suite comprising fully integrated modules of
accounting, inventory, purchasing, engineering, payroll, fixed assets, material planning (MRP) and customer
service applications. In addition, Joe is well versed in Microsoft Exchange software and is strong in technical
issues involving network connectivity and security.
As one of two systems administrators, who functioned without the benefit and guidance from a dedicated IT
manager, Joe’s direct interaction with other department heads and managers and need to make decisions on
his own was greater than is often the case for systems administrator positions. Joe’s previous experience,
including his time as an independent IT consultant, has served him well. While at Schramm, Joe
demonstrated his ability to listen carefully and to translate disparate departmental requirements to action
plans resulting in successful implementations. Joe worked closely with his IT associates as well as outside
consultants to upgrade existing applications and install or upgrade multiple servers, paying special attention
to important security challenges which come with VPN connections, increased use of mobile devices, and
providing secure connectivity among multiple locations. In a “help desk” role, you will find Joe to be
empathetic and understanding with users at all levels and able to provide assistance with both hardware and
software issues in a friendly and non-threatening manner.
Joe is completely dependable and willing to give extra effort, including responding to off-duty IT emergencies
or system maintenance which can only be accomplished in off-duty hours. Finally, know that you can trust
him to maintain confidentiality of the data and information he is exposed to--a “must” for any IT professional.
You will find Joe to be a very friendly and soft spoken guy who is able to work well with his associates at all
levels, both inside and outside the organization. Unfortunately, Joe has fallen victim of the dreadfully
depressed energy markets which has caused his recent departure from Schramm, Inc. He would be a great
addition to any IT department, large or small. If you would like further information, please feel free to call

Sincerely,
Retired CFO, SVP, and Director of Schramm, Inc.
