Duties include: Maintain and embed HR Policies, to ensure effective fair and consistent
management of employee’s throughout the Company. Advise Managers and Team Captains
on policies and best practice. Support throughout all HR activities and processes policies and
procedures, absence management, redundancy, new contracts and terms and conditions of
employment. Managing and updating the HR system, and personnel files to ensure that they
are updated in a timely manner, ensuring we are compliant with all DPA policies. Managing
and maintaining new starter and leaver processes. Ensuring that all information is accurate
and up to date, processing pay and calculating holiday entitlements. Monitoring sickness
and absence levels and flagging where there seems to be trends and high levels of absence.

maintained and updated in timely fashion, raising and logging risks and issues. Creating
feed- back surveys across the business, and also ensuring the accurate logging and
evaluation of feedback from employee surveys. Managing document logs and records.
Scheduling meetings, and maintaining minutes, action logs and action plans for all People
and Culture meetings. Arranging travel and accommodation for the team with online
booking system. Liaising with Directors and Managers to ensure attendance at meetings and

Support the HR Business Partners with general HR administration. Assist with the
redundancy and selection process and documentation. Ensuring accurate documentation
and supportive records management. Advise Managers on process and policy in line with

Business Partners.

Received Directors award for all my hard work, and flexibility whilst delivering the new
employee contracts, and for my work on the Charity Committee.
May 2007 - May 2011 Outbound Telesales
Position held – Specialist Recruitment – Quality Monitoring auditor
Responsible for filling positions in the Outbound telesales Department. Held College and
university attraction days to source candidates. Interviewed, and selected for over 100 sales
positions. Responsible for collating documentation for financial and criminal record checks.
Maintained recruitment database in line with DPA regulations. Held selection days whereby
had candidates completing group and individual assessments. Liaised with agencies and
external contacts to source candidates.
Quality Monitoring auditor- listen to calls from the Outbound sales team to ensure
following guidelines from the FSA. Ensure that staff are outlining all features, benefits and
exclusions of policy and are selling in line with FSA and company guidelines. Refer and
escalate any Risk to business, and follow procedures for disciplinary referral. Produce
accurate reports and data for Line and Departmental managers. Feedback call monitors to
employee’s and advise on how to ensure that audit and sales targets can be met in the
future.
Key achievements:
Sourced and built relationship with Bradford College and Bradford University, to source
candidates at zero cost to the business. Thus saving the business the usual £250 per

and at other venues.
Dec 1993 – May 2007 Fleet Sales Account Executive Inbound and Outbound
Customer service advisor
Dealing with inbound and outbound telesales new business enquiries. Converting the initial
enquiry into a policy by selling features and benefits that meet the customer’s
requirements. Objection handling, and setting up new business policy. Dealing with ongoing
policy maintenance, adding vehicles, cover changes, upselling and maintaining policies.
Sending out information packs, and following up enquiries.
Sharing best practice with Direct Line insurance brands and helping to cross sell insurance
products. Shared best practice with TRACKER UK by sharing Fleet database and cross selling
the TRACKER Vehicle systems.
Prior to the role in Fleet I was in Sales and Customer Service dealing with existing and new
sales enquiries for Domestic Breakdown cover, European Travel Insurance and Ferry
Bookings.
Key achievements :
Received Chief Executive Award 2 years running. Which involved being shortlisted and
chosen from hundreds of nominees.
Spent 6 weeks in Uxbridge sharing Best practice at TRACKER UK when Direct Line acquired
the business.
Put forward idea to set up the Fleet Outbound function, trialled for 3 months and got the
sign off to set up the Fleet Outbound team and actively contact renewal business and new
business enquiries. (this idea gained me a Chief Executive Award)

I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, reading, spending time at the coast and having
fun with my friends. I also enjoy cooking for family and friends and make a mean curry! I
