It is one hour driving from Amman, when standing on the beach, looking across the sea
you’ll find the Israeli shore and it is around 2,5 hours away from Petra. The Dead Sea area
is the lowest point on the earth’s surface: the surface and shores are around 400m below
sea level. Every year the level of water drops down around 30cm. There’s around 27% salt
in the water, which makes it 10 times saltier than normal sea waters. The salt makes it im-
possible for fish to survive in: that’s why its called the Dead Sea!
Come to the Dead Sea, feel weightless while floating in the salty
water and scrub yourself with the healing mud!

Around the Dead Sea waters there has been a lot of research about the healing powers of
the area. There are many possible treatments, also besides the salty water full of minerals!
The treatments make use of 3 elements that can be found in the Dead Sea area: The min-
erals that are in the water of the sea, the special climate with its higher atmospheric pres-
sure en those that use the lower component of UV and Solar radiation. These elements re-
sult in treatments with mud packs to temporarily decrease the pain when having os-
teoarthritis of the knees or improvements when having psoriasis.

Jezra Travel asks you to help the Syrian refugees
that are coming to all the surrounding countries
around Syria. Also Jordan really needs help in supply-
ing the big amounts of refugees with primary needs
such as water and food. Every night there are between
300 and 1000 refugees crossing the Jordanian Border.
There are many institutes that are collecting dona-
tions at the moment, please make a donation at your
national collection point.
From our guestbook:
Dear Jezra Travel,
I would like to thank you all for working on my trip last August. Had a really nice time
and everything went well, there were no problems and during the planning of the trip I
felt free to ask you all the questions I had and that gave me a very nice feeling.
I had a very nice time, it wasn't my first and it won't be my last time in Jordan!
X Isabelle
