Gainesville Health and Fitness is launching a new program called "Girls Like Us" aimed at 11-12 year old girls to promote healthy lifestyles. They are seeking proposals for public relations work to increase awareness of the program. The proposal suggests creating water bottles and t-shirts for program participants to promote the program and attract more attendees and potential members ages 32-48 with preteen daughters. The incentives would increase awareness in the community and generate revenue for the fitness center.

Opportunity
Gainesville Health and Fitness has created a six week program for 11- to 12-year-old girls to
help raise awareness about the importance of instilling a healthy lifestyle into the younger
demographic. GHFC continues to develop new programs to tackle childhood obesity, chronic
ailments and long-term medial problems. Being considered as one of the four best fitness
businesses in the world it is imperative for GHFC to find ways to continue exceling in the fitness
industry.
Solution
Girls Like Us will be centered around a series of six Saturdays filled with upbeat, high-cardio
workouts and a chance to connect with their peers. From regular stretches to hyping hip-hop
dances, these girls will be experiencing a new way of exercise. To increase awareness about
Girls Like Us, GHFC should create water bottles and T-shirts for the participates of Girls Like
Us. Products such as these will not only get an enthusiastic reaction from the girls but could be
used as promotional ads to draw in more attendees. Although the products will be created for the
young girls, the goal is to attract GHFC women and prospective members between the ages 32-
48, who could have preteen daughters.
Benefits
Having GHFC give incentives to participants of the program will produce an increase of
awareness within the Gainesville community and bring revenue to the fitness center. When other
girls see the promotional merchandises more girls will want to join the program, which in turn
brings more revenue.
Plan of Action
To create promotional water bottles and T-shirts as incentives for participants of Girls Like Us.
Parents could pay an extra $10 to receive the merchandise.
