1. Jesse W. Jackson
Power Transformer Tester
I am a power transformer
tester that trained and
worked in Ulsan, South
Korea for Hyundai Heavy
Industries (HHI) in the
Electro Electric Systems
Division. I have tested
power transformers out in
the field and inside the
protected confines of a test
bay.
2. Control Room
Working the controls in the control room with Mr. Park,
Chief Test Engineer in the 500kV control room. This room is
equipped with Hipotronics RIV - Partial Discharge
Equipment and Haefely Impulse Generator PC Controls with
High Resolution Impulse Analyzing System and Generator
Controls.
3. Control Room
Observing voltage and
current readings during
No-Load Current No-Load
Loss testing. Performing
calculations for No-Load
Impedance.
4. 500kV Test Bay
Checking the connections
before lightning impulse
testing and observing the
stage connections on
Haefely Impulse Voltage
Generator.
5. 200kV Test Bay
Connecting cables on the TV side for No-Load
Current No-Load Loss testing.
6. 200kV Test Bay
Making connections to the B phase on the TV side
during the Lightning Impulse testing.
7. 500kV Test Bay
Standing on 1100MVA power transformer studying
the delta LV bushings.
8. Doble Engineering Equipment
Experience using the
M4100 for power
factor and 10kV
excitation current
testing on bushings and
transformers.
Experience using
M5300 and M5200 for
Sweep Frequency
Response Analysis.
