Formative & summative
Self-reflection – students will be self-reflecting and thinking abouttheir own flaws in their
writing. This will allow them to be honest before getting the feedback in their assessments
Teacher questioning – the teacher will ask pertinentquestions which will garner
discussions and tips to improve.There will be 4 points that the teacher goes through and
small exercises which students will have to complete verbally as well as written.
Improvements paragraph – using the feedback given,students will have to write an
improvements paragraph.This will be a chance for students to put their understanding of
feedback into use.
Cognitive challenges:
Desirable difficulties for all abilities; how will students progress?
Writing an improvements paragraph – students will have to focus on the
feedback given to write an improvements paragraph. Theywill already be
thinking what they have to improve personally, as well as the feedback
given by the teacher and as a group.

similarities and differences, goals, repetition and practice, meta-cognition, feedback,
