To Whom It May Concern,
It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation for Jennie Flemmer. Jennie
worked as a barista with Associated Students Creekside Cafe from January 2013
through May 2015. I was her direct supervisor at the Cafe throughout most of her
employment.
Jennie’s personality was a great burst of positivity during her shifts. When she walked
in the door, the employees were always happy to greet her. She gave great and
focused customer service, connecting with customers often. I often referred to her
customer service as a role model for many of our other employees. Jennie’s smile and
sweet nature encouraged her customers to come back just to seek her out. Jennie’s
enjoyment of coffee really helped her to connect with the customers as well, as she
was able to help them pick and chose what drinks or foods they should purchase.
Jennie is a barista with great attention to detail, while still having very good speed to
get multiple drinks made at once. The rushes on college campus come in between
classes, where the majority of customers can’t wait too long before their next class.
Jennie usually worked the mid-morning to afternoon shifts and could “read the line”
from the bar, knowing quite a few regular orders and having them done before the
customer was done paying at the registers. I really depended on Jennie to help coach
and train new baristas. She is a patient teacher and really inspired other baristas
through their training. Over the course of her employment, she also created new
recipes that were implemented for our monthly promotions.
Overall, Jennie was a great employee. I would recommend her to be a part of any
team, as she is very easy to work with, she follows instruction well, and her customer
service is excellent. She has a passion for coffee that really shines behind the counter.
