In the crossroads between the Mission and Potrero neighborhoods is Union, a new
condominium that merges urban living with suburban spaciousness. It’s the first San Francisco
foray for Los Angeles developer Avi Brosh, who’s known for Palihouse, an upscale twist on the
extended-stay hotel. Designed by San Francisco’s SB Architects, the two buildings—one built
from the ground up and the other a renovated brick-and-timber warehouse—comprise 76
units, including one-, two- and three-bedroom loft-style apartments and townhomes, starting
around $700,000. The amenities are luxe yet industrial—marble-topped islands in the kitchen,
Ann Sacks subway tiles, Viking appliances. The shared courtyard has a contemporary firepit
and barbecue. L.A.–based interior designer Kenneth Brown, of HGTV fame, designed model
units with walnut floors and four-poster beds for a surprising slice of the Hamptons adjacent
to the Mission. 2125 Bryant St., SF, 415-824-8884, union-sf.com –Jenna Burnett
