Students In Action is a national youth volunteer leadership, recognition and reward program, designed to pass the tradition of service on to the next generation.
Co-developed by Jefferson Awards for Public Service and Deloitte, it is now in over 250 High Schools.
Each spring, Student Leaders from the participating schools compete in regional competitions. They are asked to report on the implementation of the program, and the impact they've had, both in their schools and within their communities.
3. UNITY WALK 2009 Each year the Chicago Department of Human Service sponsor its Annual Unity Walk and Rally. This year over 750 students, teachers, parents and guardians took 14 buses to promote racial unity, to stop violence, drug use and gang abuses to the Walk and Rally.

10. B lood Drive Ea Ea Each year, with the help of LifeSource Blood Center, we conduct three blood drives. Students participate in three blood drives and two blood drives are conducted with parents and guardians. We have collected 400 units of blood this year, helping save 1200 lives. Every unit of blood can help save 3 lives.

15. TALL PROGRAM Every year many 6 th , 7 th , and 8 th graders are invited during winter break to our school to participate in activities with our principle, Mr. Hunter, and other students have planned. Students have the opportunity to make new friends and learn the reality about High School.
