AND
MENTORSHIP

Kent  State  University
I  have  supervised  14  undergraduate  research  students  since
2011.  6  of  my  students  presented  their  work  at  the  KSU
Tuscarawas  Student  Research  Colloquium  (2012,  2013,  2014,
and  2015  editions).  Two  presented  their  work  at  the  2014
edition  of  the  KSU  Undergraduate  Research  Symposium.  One
student  performed  and  defended  his  Honor  Thesis  (April  17,
2014)
Currently,  my  research  focuses  on  mycobacterial  infectious
diseases  and  on  environmental  microbiology.

Brigham  Young  University  Hawaii
I  supervised  5  undergraduate  research  projects  and  helped  my
students  obtain  fellowships  for  those  projects.  Three  students
completed  their  projects  and  defended  their  theses.  One  student
was  accepted  to  give  an  oral  presentation  of  her  work  at  the  34th
