RESTORATION OF TRANSMISSION SYSTEM AT LAHORE (EGERTON ROAD PTCL EXCHANGE) AFTER FIRE INCIDENT
AND UPGRADATION OF PTCL LAHORE SHORT-HAUL SYSTEM
On September 28th, 2014, fire broke out in PTCL Egerton Road Exchange due to which all the services on transmission
system were suspended. In this project, the lost transmission system of Egerton Road was restored.
The project, along with Egerton Road Restoration, included 40x80 lambda for Lahore PTCL Metro System.
The responsibilities in Project included:
1- Pre- project Planning.
2- Site Surveys.
3- Strategy making for Project Implementation.
4- Supervision of Installation Phase.
5- Commissioning and Configuration of the Systems
6- Old amplifiers upgradation (NOC Activities).
7- Integration of new systems (L+ band) with old systems (L band) (NOC Activities).
8- Optimization of two rings (NOC Activities).
9- Successful completion of PAT
The job also included assurance of constant OSNR and BERs

PTCL DWDM 40X80G LAMBDA'S UPGRADATION OF PTCL LONGHAUL NETWROK
In this project of PTCL, ZTE is providing PTCL with DWDM equipment for the multiplexing different wavelengths and then
transmit to the client by cascading ZXONE8000 with SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) Rack. The main operation of
DWDM is based on the Multiplexing and De- Multiplexing phenomena. There are two cards installed in the ZXONE8000
named as ODU (Optical De- multiplexing Unit) and OMU (Optical Multiplexing Unit) which are used for multiplexing and
demultiplexing processes. Two way traffic is collected at ODU which separates the desired traffic from the multiplexed
traffic and passes the remaining traffic to OMU with the data that has to be transmitted with previously received data. The
traffic is then sent to the next site in the ring.
POWER TRANSFER THROUGH DIRECT INDUCTION (WIRELESS)
This project was the semester project, on individual basis, when we were taught course of ELECTROMAGNETIC THEORY.
Our instructor assigned us to implement what we studied in the course. I selected to work on the wireless power transfer.
The main idea was derived from the working principle of transformer i- e Mutual Induction between primary and
secondary coils. The given task was simulation based but however, I continued working on it as soon as semester was
over. Results were obtained with almost 10% error but range was up to few centimeters
WIND SPEED DATA RECORDING SYSTEM FOR REMOTE AREAS (FINAL YEAR PROJECT)
This project was a fine combination of analog and digital electronics. This project was designed so as to fulfill the
requirements of the current energy crisis in Pakistan. The function of the project is to decide whether an area is suitable
for installation of Wind Power Generation System. Yearly data is recorded for the specific area and data is sent to the
monitoring room via GSM for analysis by experts. Also EEPROM is used on major basis for storage purpose in case GSM is
crashed.
