1. BE INVOLVED IN THIS YEAR’S KINGFISHER FESTIVAL
Beaconhurst School will host our annual Kingfisher Festival on the 1st
of
August 2015. The festival attracts people from all over the Buffalo Metro.
Last year we had a visitor total of approximately 3 000. Twenty schools
competed on the day and we had a variety of entertainment to offer.
The Saturday will again include our 5km fun walk /run, and our Primary
School sport which includes u/7 & u/8 rugby and netball will be the main
draw card. We are adding mini-hockey to our schedule this year, which will
attract even more competitors and visitors to this fun-filled event. We will
host u/9, u/11 and u/13 teams.
The high schools will entertain the crowd on the Saturday afternoon with 7’s
rugby and netball, after which we will host a Sevens Tournament for senior
teams.
Companies can get involved in the festival on the following ways:
Get your company’s logo printed on the goodie bags. We have
1 100 goodie bags which are sponsored by PowerAde. It will cost
a company R2 500-00 to advertise on these bags. Any donation of
products, such as water, energy bars or juices to put into the bags,
would be most welcome.
Have your company sponsor t-shirts. We need to obtain 1 100
t-shirts and it will cost a company R4 500-00 to advertise on these
t-shirts. This figure is based upon sponsorship by six companies.
We will also have a 12sqm LED screen at the festival. We will be
selling advertising slots which will be displayed continuously and
visible to all competitors and visitors throughout the day. We have
the following options available to advertise on the screen:
five second advert R495
fifteen second advert R950
forty five second advert R1500
We will have stalls at the festival, and our kids’ corner promises to attract
a lot of visitors. We will have the following entertainment available in the
kids’ corner: Giant slide, foam pit, jumping castles, pillow basher, train and
mechanical bull. We will have a youth tent at the festival with numerous
church bands entertaining the youth over the course of the morning.
The kingfisher festival is one of the biggest school festivals in East London.
Advertising at this festival will definitely benefit your company by
providing maximum exposure to a wide variety of potential
customers/clients.
