To Whom It May Concern:
It is my great pleasure and privilege to speak on behalf of Janna Thornsby. Only one
year of professional relationships notwithstanding, I state without hesitation that she is a
remarkable educator and a consummate professional. I consider myself and Columbine very
fortunate to have had Ms. Thornsby work and teach in our community.
Janna’s work with her students is outstanding. She possesses a clear understanding of
child development; provides an environment in which all her children feel valued and
successfully grow academically, socially and emotionally. Additionally, Ms. Thornsby does an
exceptional job building a sense of community in her classroom and entire school.
As a writing teacher for the third grade, Janna provided the school with numerous
thoughts for curriculum improvement and instructional implementation. She actively seeks
collaboration to enhance the effectiveness of her teaching and students’ learning outcomes.
Janna is a beloved team member. She stepped into a co-teaching environment with ease,
grace and joyful flexibility. She effortlessly forms strong, genuine relationships with staff,
parents, and students; and maintains trust through her caring and encouraging manner, always
offering assistance, and providing follow up support.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with and learn from Janna, and fully
support any role that will increase her influence in the world of education and schooling. I
wholeheartedly recommend her for your closest consideration, as you will gain an outstanding
professional, educator, team member, employee and a fellow colleague. Everyone in your
organization, sutdents and adults alike, will benefit from Janna’s contributions. Please feel free
to contact me with any further questions.
Kindest regards,
