– The e-Diabetes Application will be used to
revolutionize the way diabetics check their blood
sugar levels.
• e-Diabetes Phone Glucometer (eDPG)
– Small device that takes advantage of all smartphone’s
headphone jacks. Technology inspired by the Square
– Replaces the need for big bulky glucose meters.
3. Purpose
• The main purpose of this app and device
is to totally replace the glucometer.
• The eDPG acts just like a normal glucometer but
uses the phone’s interface and functions instead.
– This means, you insert the eDPG into the headphone
jack of your phone and insert the blood sugar test
strip into the eDPG just like you would a normal
meter.

347 million people worldwide live with diabetes.

person deserves for their life to be made a little

• I have three chronic diseases myself and two of
my closest friends have Diabetes.
6. Usage of the Application
• First and foremost, this application along
with the eDPG replaces the glucometer.
• It works just as a glucometer would, using the
same exact blood sugar test strips.

• To actually perform the primary function:
– Run the app on your phone.
– Plug in your eDPG
– Insert your blood sugar test strip.
– Put your blood on the strip.
– Touch the GO button.
• and the app does the rest!
