Education
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Astronautics concentration
GPA: 3.756 Projected Graduation: June 2016
Experience
Northrop Grumman Aerospace Sector, Redondo Beach, CA
Space Park, Systems Technical Intern – 2015
Worked with thermal analysis team for the James Webb Space
Telescope. Provided case study for testing support equipment. Modeled
different plate configurations and presented on the relative effectiveness.
Created a tool to auto-populate optical property files for thermal
modeling, based on material, temperature, and contamination. Worked
with other engineers to identify a data reference trail. Learned thermal
modeling programs including Visual Basic, SINDA and TSS.
California Polytechnic State University, Cal Poly SLO
MEP Tutor – 2014 to present
As a full-time student, provided tutoring for engineering students, both
in groups and one-on-one, in Calculus (I-IV), Physics (I-III), Chemistry,
Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Materials, Orbital Mechanics, and
Aerothermodynamics. Developed multiple effective communication
techniques, personal organization and time management skills.
Projects
Air Motor Manufacturing Project, Cal Poly SLO
Fall 2013
Employed just-in-time manufacturing model to manufacture and
assemble individual air motors. Worked in a team of 6 to manufacture
12 sets of 3 parts, within tolerance; assembled air motors in conjunction
with a second group. Gained basic experience using lathes and mills.
