The City of Enterprise will soon have 10,000 new water meters and an upgrade to a portion of the
existing water meters.
At an Enterprise City Council meeting Tuesday, May 19, the council approved contracting with
Energy System’s Group and a funding agreement with the City of Enterprise Water Works Board to
upgrade the water meter system.
The unanimous approval was made pending final approval of Enterprise Mayor Kenneth Boswell,
who told the council that some minor details were still being ironed out.
Joe Repole, with ESG told the council that the project would increase the efficiency of the city’s
water meter system and generate savings and income of nearly $4 million in system improvements
over a 15-year period.
Repole said that ESG would guarantee to pay the difference in the annual payment if projected
savings are not sufficient to make the annual payment.
The Water Board had approved entering into a funding agreement with the city council in order to
secure financing for the project at an April 28 meeting.
