1. This photo from music photographer Khadija Bhuiyan shows two DJs; Skream and Benga performing
live at Ultra Music Festival in 2012. The photo was taken using a wide angle lens which is why you
can see so much in the image and helps to capture the buzz of what is happening. The foreground is
the main part of the picture; lit up by the artificial lights at the festival giving it an unnatural look as it
casts different colours. The image uses depth of field is only in the foreground concentrating on the
DJs, the background is not in focus and gives the effect that there is smoke in the air. The smoke also
gives the lights a glowing effect, you can see this better with the lights on the left hand side. There is
a third person on the stage but it is unclear who it is as the light is creating a silhouette effect, his
arms however are visible but they look blue.
