Multiuser Linux-based Server in a Virtual Environment (Bowling Green, Ohio) (Jan. 2015 – May 2015)
A semester long independent capstone project. It encompassed the incorporation of only open source software in the construction of a virtual
environment (VE) that integrated Print, IM/VoIP, and File servers with various virtual desktops. Furthermore, it included various forms of security via
SSH & SSL causing the VE to be secure and accessible on various operating systems (e.g. Windows, OS X, and Linux).
Water Quality Analysis Research (Bowling Green, Ohio) (Oct. 2011 – March 2012)
This team based project explores the water quality of liquid manure from Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (CAFOs) and the amount of E.
Coli bacteria found in the North and Middle Branch Portage Rivers of Northwest Ohio.
Conducted physical, bacterial, and chemical tests on E. Coli presence in the water.
Compiled data and analyzed results using bacterial growth media, chemical tests, and physical measurements to determine E. Coli levels.
Presented results of research at “Posters at the Capital Conference” in Columbus, Ohio (March 27, 2012).
