Switched connections at 64 kbps.To test the hardware and software of an ISDN network
a Simulation is required. The simulation system simulates the real time traffic for an
ISDN type of network and is expected to play the role of terminal equipment. The role of

terminal equipment is simulated by generating and giving response in terms of Digital
subscribe signalling of messages according to CCITT recommendation Q931.
Developing a statistical Multiplexer for ISDN network.
Involved designing the circuit diagram using ORCAD, programming of Micro Controller
i8051,Writing Control words for Intel Communication Peripherals (Serial
Communication Controller 82530).
Wiring up the Circuit using wiring Gun, Doing connectivity testing using beep horn and
then by oscilloscope. Programming the EEPROM.Writing Code in C++ and then using
the i8051 assembler to generate the HEX Codes. Down loading the codes in to the
EEPROM and Executing the Program for the two PCB boards to demonstrate Statistical
Multiplexing.
