The magazine cover features a hip hop artist with his headphones as the main focal point, challenging conventions where the artist would normally face forward. Inside pages use typical magazine elements like page numbers and images to look realistic. The contents page has a transparent image of the artist's head to blend into the background studio setting, where smaller images in the studio monitors advertise other stories, and the magazine logo is incorporated into the speakers.

2. • Although my magazine cover
looks like the ordinary hip
hop/rap magazine, it
challenges forms and
conventions of real media
products by having the main
artist turned to the side as
he is making his headphones

magazine.

Real magazines which makes my magazine look
more realistic. In the first image I used an over
the shoulder shot with the artist creating
beats with the headphones on which makes
the headphones look professional as he is
using them in a real studio.

using a theme which was
the image of the artists
head turned to the side but
in the contents page I made
it slightly transparent to
make it blend in with the
background.

5. • I also challenged the typical conventions of a
media product as I made the main artists studio
the background of my contents page which
worked really well, as there are two monitors in
that studio I used them to put smaller images on
for other stories that would have been in the
magazine. I also used the magazine logo and
made it part of the studio background by putting
them in the speakers as it uses forms and
conventions of typical rap magazines.
