OBJECTIVE:
To work for public or private sector schools with students as a math
teacher, I am bringing my experiences to help them fall in love with
math, understand the language of math, develop thinking skills and
have confidence in solving problems.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
I am good at using patterns or understanding skills to help my
students solve the problems quickly without too much struggle. I also
use the authentic materials to demonstrate the mathematical
scenarios.
My first language is Chinese and I teach English as well as math. I also
tutor Chinese to American English Speakers, some of which are
elementary students at my son’s school.

I have taught with few young kids in Sunday school, reading bible,
doing the crafts and playing games for few years. And, then I have

taught some Chinese young men and women bible. I love to see
them growing and be their friends.
2010-2012 tutor, at home
I have worked with two remedial elementary students for about a
year. One student is in the 3rd grade, but he was working on the 1st
grade level of math when I began teaching him. The other is in the
5th grade, but she needed to learn basic multiplication in order to
catch her up to her own level. Now, they can solve the math
problems without my help.

· I teach the traditional Chinese New Year’s ceremonies to elementary
students in the US for the last five years.

five years. I have had one hundred and sixty-nine students total in
two years since I started the school. All of the parents and students
are first-language Chinese speaker who love me so much and I have

family, taking care of the international to make sure they obey the
rules and also they enjoy staying with their host family with
completing their responsibility. Communication between the
students, host family and schools are necessary. Aslo, dealing the

Working with kids is a lot of fun. Due to this part-time job, I have
been going to many different schools and guiding students with
different personalities. It is so fun to be with kids who have love
inside their pure hearts. Also, I need to help with their homework and
do some activities/board games with them.
