2. Early life
Audrey Hepburn (born Audrey Ruston) was
born on the 4th of May1929 in Brussels,
Belgium. She was of Austrian and English
descent through her father and of Dutch descent,
her mother being a Dutch aristocrat. Because of
her multinational background, Audrey was a
fluent speaker of English, Dutch, French,
Spanish and Italian.
3. Roman holiday
The character of Princess Ann in the Italian-set
movie was the first starring role of her career. In
the movie she played a princess who, tired of her
strict schedule, decides to run away from the
palace for a day and enjoy the perks of a normal
life. While on her journey she meets Ms.
Bradley, an American journalist with whom she
ends up falling in love. For her role she won an
Academy Award for best leading actress.
6. Her iconic role, sunglasses, created by Ray-Ban, and
dress, designed by Hubert de Givenchy, from Breakfast
at Tiffany’s.
7. Perhaps the greatest fashion film ever to be made in
which Hepburn starred , yet again her clothes being
designed by Givenchy
8. Audrey went on to live 63 years, dying in 1993.
Till this day she remains not only a film icon, but a
style icon as well. She has been placed in the
International best dressed Hall of Fame list and is
considered the third greatest female screen legend
in the history of American cinema. She will always
be remembered as the beautiful, slim, with an
elfish-like face actress that always brought charm
and style to her roles.
