Editor's Notes
Youth has the capacity to awaken the consciousness of the government and could bring a huge change in the existing system. The major hindrance in India’s development is illiteracy and the fact that majority of the vulnerable sections are unaware of the schemes government have launched for them. Further India’s development could not be judged by the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) alone but the Human Development Index (HDI) should also be considered as it is the real indicator of people’s development.

The policy envisages creating and supporting incubation centres in partnership with private and corporate sector as also the academia and centres of excellence under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode to fully harness the potential of the youth in the state. Government will also set up special desks in the state to encourage such incubation centres.
Osho said ‘If politicians disappear, there is no need for nations’ and if we think over this we do have a say here that ‘If politicians wish to make this world a paradise, sure it is in their hands – just they have to Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached like Swami Vivekanand said!
There has to be a broad alliance between the Government, the private sector, civil society and media. Corruption need to be removed, if not from the roots – at least efforts to fight corruption at grass root level. What is the cause of Corruption? Is it the dysfunctional and noncompliant laws, is it the shortage of essential commodities and resources, is it our haste to get the work done faster or is it the unending human greed which forces one to be corrupt. Need of the hour is ‘Integrity & Transparency in Governance & Society.’ Youth need to Wake up, rise and shine because with Youth Power – the future is theirs to behold, future belongs to those who dream and dare to do it.
