數位敍事 (Digital Storytelling) ?

Everyone has stories. Stories represent who we are, portray our
life experiences, and when presented to others, help connect us
to others through common shared experience. As such, telling a
story is a powerful way to communicate with others.


Technology now allows anyone to tell it in their own way. Digital
stories are short films made by people like you using computers
and personal photographs.
Dr. Hicks recommends digital storytelling for students, which
allows them to create three- to five-minute videos with their
own narration. They can embed sound effects, music, and
special transition effects between each frame.
Troy Hicks, an assistant professor of English at Central Michigan University,

How to tell a great digital story?
1. Find your story.
2. Map your story.
3. Capture your audience’s attention right away, and keep it.
4. Tell your story from your unique point of view.
5. Use fresh and vivid language.
6. Integrate emotion – yours and the audience’s.
7. Use your own voice, in the script and in the audio.
8. Choose your images and sounds carefully.
9. Be as brief as you can be.
10.Make sure your story has a good rhythm.

  • 2. 數位敍事 (Digital Storytelling) ? Everyone has stories. Stories represent who we are, portray our life experiences, and when presented to others, help connect us to others through common shared experience. As such, telling a story is a powerful way to communicate with others. Technology now allows anyone to tell it in their own way. Digital stories are short films made by people like you using computers and personal photographs.
  • 3. Dr. Hicks recommends digital storytelling for students, which allows them to create three- to five-minute videos with their own narration.
