IBEROSTAR HOTELES Y APARTAMENTOS, S.L., CIF B‐28049344, headquartered at Calle General Riera nº 
154, C.P. 07010, Palma de Majorca, Spain (hereinafter, the Organizer or IBEROSTAR), is organizing a 
contest known as NEW WEBSITE CONTEST, which shall be carried out in compliance with the provisions 
hereunder. Participation in this Promotion presupposes the full and unconditional acceptance of the 
terms and conditions of these  

 

Contest Rules, as follows:  

NEW WEBSITE CONTEST RULES 

1.‐ Organizer  

IBEROSTAR HOTELES Y APARTAMENTOS, S.L. is organizing a contest “NEW WEBSITE” that shall be 
carried out on http://www.facebook.com/ IberostarHotelsEnglish in compliance with the provisions 
hereunder. The contest will be called NEW WEBSITE .  

2.‐ Duration  

The start date of the contest will be indicated in IBEROSTAR's profile on Facebook and shall remain in 
effect from April 24, 2012 until April 30, 2012. The start and end date will be given out through 
Facebook and Twitter.  

3.‐ Prize  

The winner will stay to choose between: 
One (1) trip, according to residence:  

1. If the winner is a resident of the Americas: an all‐inclusive 6‐day, 5‐night stay for two people at 
the Bavaro resort (not including the Grand Hotel Bavaro).  
2. If the winner is a resident of Europe: and a 6‐day, 5‐night stay for two people at the Iberostar  
Anthelia , Spain on a breakfast‐only plan.

4.‐ Participation requirements  

Any individual of legal age who is a follower of IBEROSTAR’s official English‐language account on 
Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/ IberostarHotelsEnglish) may participate in this contest. This shall 
be verified when collecting the prize, using a valid official form of identification.  
5.‐ Contest details  

- Through the hosted tab on our website, participants will answer the 3 questions on the
new website of Iberostar www.iberostar.com in order to win. The final drawing will be
held at random.

 - To enter the random drawing you shall include the full name (first name + last name)
and an e-mail contact. People who, despite answering correctly all three questions, and
didn’t enter your name and e-mail contact will not enter the final draw. All duplicated
entries will be disqualified (name, email).

    - You can only answer the questions once per person. 

 

6.‐ Selection of contest winners  

The winner will be chosen through a random drawing through random.org. Only the contestants who 
correctly answered all 3 questions and have entered their name and e‐mail contact. 

7.‐ Announcement of contest winners  

The winner will be informed of this fact via Facebook direct message within a maximum period of 7 days 
after the contest termination date. Therefore we recommend that contestants use active Facebook 
accounts which they check often.  

In the event that the winner, for any reason, cannot or does not wish to accept the prize, renounces said 
prize or cannot be contacted within 5 calendar days of being designated the winner, said prize will be 
declared void.  

8.‐ Description and delivery of the prize  

The winner will be selected randomly through random.org platform, among all the 
contestants who correctly answered all 3 questions and have entered your name and e‐mail 
contact.  

1. If the winner is a resident of the Americas: an all‐inclusive 6‐day, 5‐night stay for two people at 
the Bavaro resort (not including the Grand Hotel Bavaro).  
 
2. If the winner is a resident of Europe: and a 6‐day, 5‐night stay for two people at the Iberostar  
Anthelia , Spain on a breakfast‐only plan.  
 
‐The prize does not include flights, transfers and expenses during the stay. 

‐To be eligible for the award requires that the participant is a fan of the official account IBEROSTAR on 
Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/IberostarHotelsEnglish 
‐ Prize does NOT include airport transfers or other trip expenses.  

‐ In order to be eligible for the prize, the winner must be a follower of the official English‐language 
IBEROSTAR account on Facebook 

‐ The winner must provide his or her personal data (first name, last name, email address, telephone 
number and number of passport or other state‐issued identification) so that they may be contacted to 
receive a voucher with information regarding how to reserve their prize.  

‐ Once Iberostar has received a response from the winner, it will send him or her a voucher for one of 
the aforementioned prizes.  

‐ Reservations will only be accepted through the contacts provided on the voucher sent to the winner.  

‐ The prize may in no case be subject to any change, alteration or compensation at the winner's request. 
Inability to redeem the prize will not confer upon the winner the right to any compensation or 
alternative prize whatsoever. This prize may not be exchanged for any monetary equivalent.  

‐ All prizes are personal and NOT transferable.  

‐ In the event the contest winner cannot be contacted, the prize will be declared void. The prize will also 
be declared void if the winner of the contest renounces said prize.  

‐ Upon accepting the prize, the winner thereby grants his/her consent to IBEROSTAR to use his/her 
name and image in its standard communication channels.  

‐ The effective dates for redeeming the prize will always be subject to availability in the destination 
hotel. In the event that there is no availability for the dates requested by the winning participant, the 
Organizer will propose alternate dates so that the winner may enjoy his/her prize. The maximum period 
to enjoy the prize runs until 31 December 2012. High season (Easter week, 15 June to 15 September, 
and 25 December to 31 December) is excluded.  

‐ The period during which the prize from this contest can be claimed will terminate in accordance with 
the periods established in the Contest Rules herein.  

9.‐ Waiver of responsibility for poor network function  

The Organizer is not responsible for electronic communication network malfunction that impedes the 
normal course of the contest for reasons outside the company or for external acts in bad faith.   

Likewise, the Organizer will not be responsible for data loss or transfer problems that cannot be 
attributed to it.  

10.‐ Release of intellectual property rights and authorization of image rights  
Participants release their image and name to the commercial entity IBEROSTAR HOTELES Y 
APARTAMENTOS, S.L., in accordance with Spanish law (the Ley Orgánica 1/1982 of 5 May, pertaining to 
rights to honor, personal and family privacy and own image).  

This release includes all rights of exploitation, exhibition, editing and broadcasting of their image and 
name until 31 December 2012, for use in IBEROSTAR's publicity campaign in the following media: 
Internet and web client, and formats for promoting the brand.  

This release does not oblige IBEROSTAR to use the names and images supplied.  

IBEROSTAR guarantees that the images and names sent will not be used for any purpose other than 
promotion and publicity of its brand and associated products and services, and will not use said entries 
for illicit, threatening, injurious, defamatory, obscene, pornographic or other ends, different from the 
one established hereunder.  

Participants declare that they are the legitimate owners of all rights on any supporting material released 
under the present contract; that they were created by themselves and that in no case is the material 
protected by a third party's copyright or brand rights.  

Likewise, participants warrant that they have the expressed consent of any person who appears in 
submitted supporting materials, in compliance with the aforementioned "Ley Orgánica," as well as 
article 5 of the Ley Orgánica 15/1999 of 13 December with respect to protection of personal data.  

 

11.‐ Personal Data  

The contestants, by participating in this contest, authorize their names, tweets, and images to be 
published in IBEROSTAR's different social networks and means of communication.  

In accordance with Law 15/1999 of 13 December regarding the protection of personal data (hereinafter 
LOPD), participants are advised that personal data and photographic materials furnished in the process 
of participation will be used by IBEROSTAR for the management and control of the current promotion; 
participants thus consent by necessity to the publication of said data, images and tweets, with the reach 
and in the conditions indicated in these Contest Rules.  

Participant data will be incorporated likewise into the IBEROSTAR brand user file, for the purpose of 
brand loyalty programs and service personalization, as well as to send, including by electronic means, 
personalized commercial communications about travel products and services of the IBEROSTAR group. 
Participants agree that the different entities of the IBEROSTAR group with which they may come in 
contact for the contracting or rendering of services may access their data as users of the brand for the 
personalization of said services, agreeing also to the international transfer of their data when said 
entities are outside the European Economic Area.  
The data for participants residing in the United States of America will be shared with VISIT US, INC., a US 
company dedicated to the promotion of travel products, so that VISIT US, INC. may provide them with 
commercial information associated with said products; likewise, participants agree to the corresponding 
international transfer of their data.  

Those affected may exercise their right to access, rectify, cancel and oppose in writing, accompanied by 
a copy of their passport or other state‐issued identification, to the Customer Service Department at 
IBEROSTAR HOTELES Y APARTAMENTOS S.L. headquarters, located at Calle General Riera nº 154, C.P. 
07010 Palma de Majorca, Spain.  

Consent to the treatment and release of rights indicated in these Contest Rules is a mandatory 
prerequisite for participation in the current promotion.  

12.‐ Waiver of liability  

Members agree to release IBEROSTAR and VISIT US, INC. and their sponsors, subsidiaries, affiliates, 
suppliers and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind caused directly 
or indirectly by participation in this contest or relating to the prize.  

13.‐ Acceptance of the contest rules  

By participating in this contest, participants agree to the totality of its terms and provisions.  

All questions, comments or complaints regarding the offer must be sent to IBEROSTAR.  

14.‐ Applicable law and jurisdiction  

The terms and conditions of the current promotion will be governed by Spanish law.  

Any issues arising from these Contest Rules shall be subject to the Courts and Tribunals of Palma de 
Majorca.  

 

ANNEX 1: MODIFICATION OF THE CONTEST RULES  

IBEROSTAR reserves the right to modify the contest hereunder if circumstances so require. Likewise, 
participants expressly recognize and accept that IBEROSTAR may, at any time, modify, interrupt, 
deactivate and/or cancel the contest for justified reasons. By participating in this contest, participants 
agree to the totality of its terms and provisions.  

All questions, comments or complaints regarding the offer must be sent to IBEROSTAR.
