Display Performance
 Client side cache of warehouse
              connections significantly
              improves data access
              performance and ultimately the
              rendering & display of feature
              data in the map window.

             From 1 ½ min down to a matter
of seconds in some cases (e.g.
              500K feature records)

 Cache file location is user
              definable

             Cache is updated automatically
as edits are performed or when
              the warehouse is reopened
GeoMedia Warehouse - Caching
 Create a cache Index
 for faster feature
 discovery

 Persist the cache for
 faster loads

Text and Labeling
           OEM agreement with MapText
            Inc. for embedding of GeoLabel
            Pro functionality into the
            GeoMedia Desktop Products

           Rules-based labeling + label
            conflict resolution strategies =
            better label positioning

 Dynamic labeling – labels are
            quickly repositioned as the user
            pans and zooms.

 Option for static labeling as well

 Individual labels can be reviewed
            and edited to improve final
            appearance

Leica Geosystems is part of the Hexagon Group.
Hexagon is a leading global provider of integrated
design, measurement and visualisation
technologies.
Hexagon has over 12,000 employees in more
than 40 countries and net sales of about 2,200
MEUR.
Hexagon is dedicated to delivering actionable
information through design, measurement and
visualization technologies that enable customers
to create and share manageable multidimensional
data.
Leica Geosystems has many partners,
associations and affiliations including sister
companies within the Hexagon Group.
What is Asset Collection &
         Management?
The measurement of position and associated information of items of
economic value that are owned by an individual or organisation.
These (primarily) physical assets can be
land, buildings, machinery, furniture, tools and resources.

Assets are often managed in a software system
and the geographic position and associated
information is viewed, updated, analysed and
output using a Geographic Information System
(GIS). GIS can be used by everyone – Google
and Bing are flavours of GIS as well as
enterprise systems such as Esri ArcGIS,
Geomedia from Intergraph and MapInfo.
Why Asset Collection &
         Management?
Why collect asset information in the field?
    Data is current and up-to-date
    Update is in real-time
    Positional accuracy is improved
    Asset information is verified

  • 68. What is Asset Collection & Management? The measurement of position and associated information of items of economic value that are owned by an individual or organisation. These (primarily) physical assets can be land, buildings, machinery, furniture, tools and resources. Assets are often managed in a software system and the geographic position and associated information is viewed, updated, analysed and output using a Geographic Information System (GIS). GIS can be used by everyone – Google and Bing are flavours of GIS as well as enterprise systems such as Esri ArcGIS, Geomedia from Intergraph and MapInfo.

  1. GEOMEDIA WEBMAP® ESSENTIALS - Easily create, publish and analyze web-enabled maps. GeoMediaWebMap is a fully-scalable server solution for building and deploying web services and web sites. It enables high-performance, real-time enterprise access and sophisticated analysis available from the Web client. No programming is required to build and deploy interactive web sites with powerful, desktop-like functionality. Complete with all of the spatial analysis functionality of GeoMedia, users can easily view, query, and analyze geospatial data from many formats (without any pre-translation). Visualize your organization’s inventory of assets more clearly than you could by simply reviewing columns of data. Transform database information into highly-differentiated features displayed on a map. Conduct analysis such as determining the best route, or identify an asset’s proximity to other specific locations.Publish & be OGC/INSPIRE compliant
  2. GEOMEDIA WEBMAP® ADVANTAGE & PROFESSIONAL – Extends Essentials level to full-function geospatial server, managing vector data. This solution may be deployed as Web services or interactive Web sites (thin-client solutions), including enterprise data access, sophisticated geospatial analysis, and map generation, thus reducing the overall cost of such solutions. By providing direct, real-time access to enterprise geospatial data with all of the spatial analysis functionality of GeoMedia, this product lets you build a Web site that gives thin clients with only a Web browser access to a powerful, dynamic, and open geospatial application previously available only in a powerful desktop application. GeoMediaWebMap Professional provides all of the capabilities of powerful linear referencing and analysis capabilities (including routing and dynamic segmentation Web services) and the ability to build a Web application that writes data to Oracle Spatial or Microsoft® SQL Server application.
  3.
