• Enhanced credibility within Kosovo because of formal
and public links between SCAAK and Royal NIVRA

Looking Forward
• Government now looks to SCAAK as a source of expertise
(mentoring example, regional outreach), and for
assistance in implementing effective public sector financial
management
• Donor assistance and continued engagement with mentor
is vital, as we push to fully implement SMOs in Kosovo on
„country level‟
• WB a valuable partner for us, in both corporate sector
financial reporting (Vienna) and public sector financial
management.

Lessons Learned
• Donor support vital
• Mentoring is a relationship: both parties need to want it to
work, and both need to work hard for success
• Mentoring helped increase SCAAK‟s visibility and
credibility in Kosovo, within the region and within IFAC
