After India achieved independence, Shimla was declared the capital of Himachal Pradesh Shimla, the “queen of the hills”, is a beautiful hill town in the lap of nature, surrounded by pine and deodar forests. Besides being the ultimate summer retreat it remains an ideal spot for adventure sports.
