1. Managing Driver Behaviour & Road Safety Violations
In order to ensure that lessons from Road Safety-related issues are drawn and
applied in a timely manner, the following adjustments have been approved by the
Corporate Incident Review Panel (CIRP).
1. The IVMS Review Panel has been upgraded to the Road Safety Review Panel
(RSRP) and been empowered (with delegated authority) to deliver effective and
speedy investigation, review and closeout of all Driver Behaviour & Road Safety
violations within NLNG facilities, NLNG Controlled Roads and NLNG Vehicles, in
accordance with NLNG E&C Policy.
The panel is composed of members drawn from across company locations shall
drive the management of all driver behaviour and road safety issues picked up
from IVMS and other sources. It shall, in accordance with the E&C Policy and
Matrix, review and decide on all reward/recognition (of exemplary behaviour)
and sanctions (for violations) for all issues concerning contractors and contractor
staff. It shall do the same for cases concerning NLNG staff, but shall refer any
case requiring a disciplinary action beyond 1st warning letter, to the CIRP.
2. Similarly, the Line Incident Review Panel (LIRP) is empowered to effectively and
speedily manage (review, reward, sanction) all Road Traffic Incidents (Accidents)
in addition to every other HSE Incidents up to Potential Medium Risk Level
(RAM2+) concerning all personnel (NLNG Staff and Contractors). It shall refer
cases requiring disciplinary action beyond warning letter to the CIRP.
3. The CIRP shall continue to drive HSE Incident Investigation review, learning,
reward/recognition, sanction, etc. for all especially High Potential/Significant
Incidents in accordance with NLNG-PR01 and NLNG-PR10. It shall review the
outcomes of both the LIRP and RSRP on a quarterly basis.
The scheme below shows how the panels sit within the Incident Review framework.
This will be captured in the on-going review of the relevant procedures NLNG-
PR01 and NLNG-PR10.
