This document discusses using new media and social tools to promote authentic art education. It argues that students should be challenged to be creative using their own tools and working independently to develop themselves. Examples of projects that use new media like blogs, social networks and video sharing to encourage collaboration, connection, remixing and sharing creative work are provided. The document promotes giving students freedom and challenging them to have fun with art in their own way.
