Sales Promotion Marketing is a team within the Marketing Pyramid that partners with cross-functional teams to
develop and implement business strategies to help drive sales and provide a positive shopping experience for our
guests. We conduct appropriate research and verification to ensure merchant-submitted promotional pricing meets
company guidelines and signing requirements. We initiate timely, thorough and accurate communication with
merchants and stores to ensure price accuracy for our guests by delivering Target’s "Expect More. Pay Less." brand
promise. Another key responsibility is producing all promotional and non-promotional signs for Circular, Sales Plan
and Transitions as well as other media. We work closely with Merchandising, Store Operations, Legal, Circular
Team, Category Marketing, Printing Services and Distribution.
• Define the project management process to be applied to the project.
• Prepare project plan and obtain management approval of the project plan.
• Assure that all team members understand their roles and accept their responsibilities
• Analyze risk and instigate avoidance activities. Establish contingency plans and identify trigger

• Track and report on progress to plan.
