semi-authoritarian state, to an open and democratic one.
We have learned that the seed of political process of
change had already begun before the economic crisis hit.
The collapse of the economy had served as a catalyst to

accelerate the political transformation that was already
underway, even if it was moving slowly.
In our sessions the class has put an attempt to identify
the non-economic factors that were moving the nation to
a more open p
