2. What does VoIP stand for? VoIP stands for Voice over Internet Protocol

3. What is a VoIP? Voice over Internet Protocol is a variety of technologies, communication protocols and transmission techniques to allow multimedia sessions and the delivery of voice communication over Internet Protocol networks such as, the Internet.

4. Often encountered and used alongside VoIPare IP telephony, voice over broadband and internet telephony. Internet telephony is a reference to communications services i.e. Voice, fax, SMS and voice-messaging applications, that are transported via the internet.

5. What make’s a VoIP’s. The steps involved in making a VoIP telephone call are signaling and media channel setup, the processing of the analog voice signal, encoding, packetization (making it into a smaller file for easy transmitting) and then the final transmission. These are the steps used to create and open up video calls etc.

6. Examples of VoIP’s Examples of modern VoIP's are programs such as Skype, Msn and Facetime. All of which are examples of VoIP's because they enable you to have video calls and conversation via the access of the internet.

7. Public & Private use. Public: Video calling can be used between two people for just a private conversation. Private: Business meetings – an easy way to talk to business partners across seas. Corporate use: Xbox live – being charged to use the service. As do Skype with their premium packages.
