Bepaling van personeelkeuringskriteria
In vandag se ekonomie is daar baie onsekerhede, en dit was net weer toegelig tydens die Thlokwe Sakekamer se
begrotingsontbyt wat op 26 Februarie plaasgevind het. Dit het ook tot gevolg dat die werkgewers baie seker maak
alvorens personeel aangestel word. Ek deel graag ‘n paar wenke vir die werkgewers daar buite, dit is onmoontlik
om die risiko van nuwe personeel totaal uit te skakel, maar die risiko kan verminder word met die regte
keuringsmetodes. Dit is egter noodsaaklik om by die begin te begin, die donkie werk.
Alvorens die werwingsproses ‘n aanvang neem moet daar eers besin word oor die “wat” in “wie” waarna daar
gesoek moet word. Hierdie (noodsaaklike) deel van die werwing-en keuringsproses is normaalweg die een aspek
wat die meeste afgeskeep word.
Ten einde personeel te keur moet die besluitnemers binne die onderneming besin oor watter vaardighede die
persoon oor moet beskik om die vakature te vul. Neem tyd en definieër die pos behoorlik en neem aspekte wat
benodig word in ag soos rekenaarvaardigheid, fisiese aktiwiteite, verbale vermoëns, gesondheidsbeperkings wat
nie-komplimenterend is, wiskundige vermoë, rekeningkundige vermoë, tegniese vaardighede, ens. (Watter
vaardighede is nodig om die werk te kan doen). Bepaal dan die persoonlikheid van iemand wat kan uitvoering gee
aan die tegniese vereistes - binne die kultuur, produkte-/dienstereeks en posisionering in die mark - van die
onderneming. Faktore wat hier ‘n rol speel is of die persoon kan identifiseer met aspekte van die onderneming
soos die tipe produk/diens, werkspoed van werknemers, bestuursmetodes, vergoeding, ens. (Watter
persoonlikheidstipe mens gaan inpas in die onderneming).
Dit is dus raadsaam om die tegniese vereistes van die pos asook die persoonsvereistes saam te bepaal. Die bes
gekwalifiseerde rekenmeester gaan nie noodwendig in hierdie onderneming pas nie. Die Ontvangsdame met die
mooiste hare gaan nie noodwendig vriendelik wees met die kliënte nie.
Slaggate in die bepaling van hierdie tipe kriteria is dat die vorige posbekleër gekopieër word of dat al die “foute”
van die vorige posbekleër baie sterk vermy word en in die proses word fokus verloor oor wat tot voordeel is vir die
bedryfsvereistes van die onderneming.
Om ‘n posprofiel suksesvol saam te stel begin op ‘n skoon bladsy en lys eers die tegniese vereistes van die pos.
Lys daarna die persoonsvereistes – iemand wat kan uitvoering gee aan dit wat gedoen moet word binne die
omgewing en konteks van die onderneming. Die “Ideale Werknemer” word dus bepaal.
As sakeman is jy nie aleen nie, met die regte advies en skakeling met ander sakemanne, kan jy agter die kap van
die werwingsbyl kom. Belê in die regte personeelkorps en pluk die vrugte van sukses oor die langtermyn.
