2. This drama (City of Bones) is rated UK12a, this means
that the target audience is over 12. The characters in this
drama are of the older teenager-young adult age group.
This age group are also the target audience.
3. The spectacular now is rated 'R' which in American Film
means it is unsuitable for under 17s to watch without an
accompanying parent/guardian. From just looking at the
first two dramas I can understand that dramas are often
directed at older teens- to adults.
4. The Shawshank redemption is also rated 'R' meaning
restricted viewing and it is mainly directed at over 17s.
5. Schindler's List is rated a UK 15 again telling me that
many dramas are directed at an older audience. The
British Board of Film Classification says that this film
could therefore contain strong violence/language, hence
making it unsuitable for a young audience.
6. Life as a house again is a UK15, so again not targeted at
a younger audience.
