May Speaker: Jackie Holland (Job Coach) from Supported Employment Ltd will be in Gateway on Monday 20th
May at
1.30pm to speak with members in the back room.
The first issue of Head Space a new magazine to promote Positive Mental Health will be launched in Twisted
Pepper, 54 Middle Abbey Street on Saturday 11th
May at 6.00pm. More details can be found on

Fishing Trip
Tom is organisinga fishing group with the Gardai – in June if interested give you name to Tom. There will be lessons on
how to put the equipment together and a fishing trip out.
Upcoming Courses
WRAP – Gateway will be running a (WRAP) Wellness Recovery Action Plan in September – if you are interested in
doing this course or finding out if a WRAP course is for you speak to Ali or Tom in drop-in.
Personal Development Course: There will be a 20 week personal development course starting in July – this will be a
20 week course including skills in confidence building and assertiveness. This course will be 2 afternoons a week for 20
weeks and will cost €40.00, if you are interested in this let Mary know and there will be an information session coming
soon.
Taking Control Programme –Shine have offered a Taking Control Programme – It’s similar to WRAP but shorter and
will be two afternoons. This is a free course and will consist of the following:-
• Module 1. Self Esteem and Positivity.
• Module 2. My Coping Skills.
• Module 3. Changing the weather in my Head. Signposting my supports and paths to my new life.
• Module 4. Being Resilient. Taking Control.
If you are interested give you name to Mary and when we have more details we will get in contact.
Members Meeting – the next Members Meeting is coming up on the 13th
of Mary 2013 and the agenda is
1. Welcome
2. Minutes from the last meeting and matters arising
3. Members’ Decision - Members’ Hour – An hour for Members to run fun things.
4. New Member Form – How does it look – is it easy to follow?
5. Extra Day in Gateway – Thanks for the volunteers. Shortly we will hold a meeting to progress
6. Any other business.
