3. Introduction The Muscular system is the system that lets us move. Without muscles people will be no more than a blob which means no movement no life.
4. What are muscles? Muscles are the fibers in your body that allows us to move. The muscle fibers are made of a type of soft tissue but don’t worry the tissue is then made up of more tissues that’s what makes a muscle strong. When you exercise your building up the tissue making them bigger and bigger.
5. How do muscles work? Muscles work from the commandments from your brain and travels through the nerves and then the muscles stretches your body and makes you move. They also stretch your skeleton as well with the help of the tendons.
6. Tendons Tendons connect muscle to bone. They are tough stringy fibre. They are made out of collagen molecules and cells. A collagen molecule is 300 nm (nanometers) and 2 nm wide. Tendons can withstand a pull of 57 tonnes.
7. Different types of muscles? There are three types different of muscles called Skeletal, Smooth and cardiac. Skeletal muscles provide movement to the body. Smooth muscles move automatically and protects vital organs. Cardiac muscles are back up muscles to the skeletal muscles.
8. How many muscles are there? There are in total 620 muscles split into 3 different types ,explained to you in slide 7. And all of them are also split up into groups, the group in your arm is the biceps and the group for your head is frontalis and all of these groups has muscles within themselves.
