This document summarizes a plenary session on linking One Health and the Hyogo Framework for Action. It discusses how One Health, an interdisciplinary approach, coordinates investigations and outbreak control, provides laboratory services, and advises governments. It also mentions how 194 countries have implemented the International Health Regulations and the Hyogo Framework for Action addresses reducing disaster risks. The document concludes that managing One Health risks and other hazards poses an interdisciplinary challenge and that One Health should benefit from and link to the Hyogo Framework and its future post-2015 instrument.
