February 6th Manhattan MRC Luncheon beginning at 11:30 at the Clarion Hotel their Guest Speaker will be Sandy Risberg, and she will
enlighten and inform everyone, regarding educating military children and educating educators in the same vein. As always, cost of the

February 14th & 15th Riley’s Conference Center will host the Sweetheart Dinner and Dance from 6 to 10 p.m. Feb. 14 and 15. Bring your
sweetheart and celebrate Valentine’s Day with a night of gourmet food, good music and dancing. Each evening will include a cocktail hour

 is designed by the folks at PREP and it teaches couples techniques to improve communication and
conflict resolution skills while strengthening overall Family and work interpersonal dynamics. It facilitates the
creation of friendships and extension of healthy communication skills from the home into the community.

McCain Auditorium Performances for Feb 2013 are: • Sweet Honey in the Rock, Feb. 1, 2013. The stirring vocals of six women inspire
love, justice, hope and peace out of the rich textures of African-American traditions. • “DRUMLine Live,” Feb. 8, 2013. The performance is
a show stopping attraction that brings an explosive energy and athleticism to an eclectic mix of sounds. • McCain Student Showcase, 4
p.m., Feb. 10, 2013. Kansas State University students show off their talents in a celebration of inspiration and achievement. • “Shrek, The
Musical,” Feb. 12, 2013. Based on the popular DreamWorks film, the lovable green ogre joins more than a dozen fairy tale misfits from a
land far, far away. • “Laughter and Reflection with Carol Burnett”, 3pm, Sunday Feb 17th. A conversation with Carol where the Audience
asks the questions. “The Rambler,” Feb. 22, 2013. The Joe Goode Performance Group blurs the lines of modern dance into humorous and

Yellow Ribbon Group. We meet twice monthly unless otherwise noted on our schedule. Usually the First and Third
Tuesday of the month from 6-9 pm at a different Manhattan area restaurant or venue. The cost of the meal and drinks
are on you, but we do free appetizers which are either provided by the restaurant or the MMRC.
The first time you attend you get a special Little Apple pin. The fifth time you attend you earn the much coveted Yellow

Army Emergency Relief: Spouse Education Assistance Program: The 2013-2014 application for the Spouse Education Assistance Program is
now open. Please use this link to establish a password for our new online application system

NMFA MILITARY SPOUSE SCHOLARSHIP: The National Military Family Association is now accepting applications for its annual Joanne
Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship Program. The Association recognizes the unique challenges today's military spouse’s face
pursuing additional training or education. Scholarships of up to $1,000 are awarded to help ease the financial obstacles that accompany
pursuing a higher education. Scholarships are awarded in eight categories: High School GED or English as a Second Language classes,
Degree Seeking Candidates (Associate's, Bachelor's, Master's, Doctorate), Licensing Fee Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math Degree (to
include certain, healthcare fields), Mental Health Career Fields, Spouses of Fallen Service Members, Spouses of Wounded Service Members,
Vocational or Technical Certification. Applications will only be accepted online

of uniformed Service Members (active duty, National Guard and Reserve, retirees, and survivors) from any branch or rank are eligible to

Save the Date: Symphony in the Flint Hills is coming to Fort Riley on June 15 th: Tickets will go on sale March 23rd at 10am. If you are
wanting to attend this big event they are urging everyone to be ready at 10am to purchase tickets as they will sell out very quickly. You can
purchase tickets online at: www.symphonyintheflinthills.org or call the box office at 816-471-0400. Tickets for this year's Symphony in
the Flint Hills will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 23, 2013. General admission tickets are $75 for adults and $43 for children
under 12.

UFM Community Learning Center, Manhattan, has scholarships available for qualifying adult and youth dependents of
the military. *Scholarships can be used toward UFM classes and covers 50 percent of the class fee. A variety of classes
